Tips for Impact Estimator users

This tool looks different than the Impact Estimator, but you will see some familiar aspects, like the bill of materials import. Still, this is a radically different user experience, enabling much more detail in user input data and more flexibility in defining scope, boundary and scenarios, and in reports. Nomenclature for materials and assemblies is now consistent with industry standard practice (MasterFormat and UniFormat). Results can be viewed in more ways, including by material and year. Users can define their own scenarios to override our defaults. Two things are missing compared to the Impact Estimator: no assembly dialogues and no reporting of LCI results. Note that you cannot import a model from the Impact Estimator into the web app. But you can use the Impact Estimator to generate a bill of materials for import into the web app.
